I’m helping my friend, Montserrat, celebrate The Family: A Proclamation to the World this week. If you’d like to see what everyone is saying about families and how to raise them in this difficult world of ours, go on over to her beautiful blog.
I wrote about the home being an MTC and a Family History Center. You’ll find my post here.
Just one note to think about when it comes to families. All of our families are different. That’s a good thing. There is nothing to compare with when we look into the eyes of the people we came from, or the people we are building. All Heavenly Father asks of us is that we give those we love a chance to accept Jesus Christ and live a life as pure and holy as we can. We’ve been asked to love all of our brothers and sisters. We’ve also been asked to be obedient to the laws and commandments given to us by Heavenly Father. Each one of us has to figure out how best to meld those two requests. The Family Proclamation helps us do just that.
